At Pier Avenue Baptist Church, we believe that Gospel brings personal transformation and transforms our communities too. As an expression of that we are engaged in a number of community projects to which we welcome everybody, whether you have a faith or not.
A parent / carer and toddler group. Runs on a Monday morning from 9:30 – 11:30. A great place to make new friends. Craft, singing, games and fun for your Tiny Treasure!
The coffee lounge at the front of the Church is open from 9:00 – 12 on Saturday mornings. Why not pop in and enjoy a cuppa a cake and a chat?
The Enfold project operates on a Thursday morning from the Welcome Centre at the back of the Church. This project was set up in 2012 to support the homeless and vulnerably housed of our community.
Alongside a cooked breakfast, there is housing support and help available from different agencies. Some of our visitors welcome the opportunity of a shower and a freshen up using our facilities.
The Shed Project
We are currently building a community shed on land at the back of the Welcome Centre. The community shed will serve as a facility for people to engage with crafts, repair work and practical projects that will share skills and knowledge for those who may feel isolated.
